Yi Yon-su (李龍洙, Lǐ lóng zhū) is a South Korean Featherweight boxer who came to Japan and quickly raised his rank to the fifth position. He was Ippo's third title defence opponent opening for the Mamoru Takamura and Bryan Hawk's WBC title match.

Yi's loss.

Yi challenged the JBC featherweight champion Ippo Makunouchi. When the match began, Yi charged toward Ippo at the start of the match. Yi attacked aggressively with lefts that missed. Ippo started the Dempsey Roll motion as he dodged Yi's lefts. Yi was grazed on the chin by a left hook. Yi then prepared to attack an incoming punch, but was countered first with a right. After Yi's body flew back after being hit, he was hit by a continuous attack from the Dempsey Roll. Right as Yi tried to respond with a punch, he fell to the ground instead, resulting in Yi's loss.

Appearance[]

Yi is man of average height and a muscular tanned body. He has brown hair in a bowl-cut style. He also has a broad nose and black coloured eyes.

Personality[]

He doesn't really express himself much but before the match started, he looked confident and cocky just by looking at his smile.
