SummaryEdit

With all the matches leading to the main event over, the spectators begin to cheer for both Ippo and Sendou. In his waiting room, Yanaoka notices Sendou is too impatient and tells him to calm down, as he must answer his fans's cheers. Sendou notes to himself that it was probably like that the last time, but he is unable to remember anything around the time he got knocked out.

Meanwhile, in the challenger's waiting room, Ippo is mitt-hitting with Kamogawa, who along with his gym mates tell him to stop before he gets tired. Ippo replies that it is not enough and does not feel ready. Nekota arrives to wish him luck and tells him to remember the training camp when he is in trouble.

On the way to her seat, Kumi meets Kimura, who is accidentally bumped by Mashiba. Mashiba says he does not know who Kimura is, which annoys Kimura due to the fact that they are in the same weight class. As the junior lightweights are about to get into a street fight, Aoki approaches and separates them with the help of Kumi. Aoki complements Kimura on his bravery, but the latter simply thanks Aoki for saving him from an "ass kicking".

Kamogawa reminds Ippo that the first time he and Sendou fought, it was representing the east and west of the All Japan Rookie King Tournament, but this time Sendou awaits as the JBC champion. While both challenger and champion make their way to the ring, even the commentator's voice can barely be heard over the cheers.
