Kamogawa then interrupts the interviews and chases all the reporters away. When Ippo thanks him for it, Kamogawa begins remembering the weak-looking kid who first entered the gym three years prior, and now stands as the king of the featherweights. Before sending Ippo off, Kamogawa congratulates him on his achievement.

While on his way home, Sendou tries to avoid his fans in the train, but when Yanaoka stands in front of an automatic door, it opens revealing Sendou to the people. As he tries to apologize, they do not even allow him to finish when they tell him that it was his best performance and he has nothing to feel bad about.

When Sendou arrives home, he goes straight to bed, but not before admitting to his grandmother that he is still weak. This causes her address at a picture of his parents and say that he just became a little stronger.

Meanwhile at Ippo's home, his friends eat while his mother tells them that he fell asleep. The reflect on how even though it may not seem real yet, it will sink in once he wakes up and sees the publications in magazines along with his belt.
