Summary[]
Makunouchi Ippo and Antonio Guevara touch gloves, Ippo immediately notices the reversed stance of the southpaw. Fujii Minoru and Sendō Takeshi guesses Ippo will take it easy. Antonio lands the first punch since Ippo thought he had room still. He continues to attack, and Ippo notices he can't tell how far away he is. When Ippo finally attacks, he hits nothing but air. The crowd realises Ippo's having trouble with the southpaw, while Sendo wonders how long it will take for Ippo to get used to fighting a left. Mashiba Ryō and Miyata Ichirō think it will be a while.
Antonio continues to attack, and Ippo has problems because he can't get a sense of the range. Miyata shares his view of the match. He thinks Antonio is going to be aiming for the same counter Alfredo landed on Ippo. Fuji wonders if that means Ippo shouldn't charge in, but Sendo thinks he should to slug it out and none of that stuff will matter since that is what Ippo always does. Ippo realises he been holding back and observing while thinking of what to do, and he needs to charge forward. With a dash, Ippo is already next to Guevara.
