In order to demonstrate sakki, Takamura gets in the ring with Ippo intending to have a battle of feints. Once they start, Ippo gets too exited and throws a full swing right, hitting Takamura. Takamura tells him not to worry and they continue sparring. With Takamura on the offensive, Ippo perfectly dodges all punches until he encounters an uppercut that suddenly turns into a straight as he gets ready to block. This continues as all of Takamura's moves suddenly turn into different ones, confusing Ippo and making him retreat to the ropes.
With the spar over, Ippo realizes that sakki is indeed what Sendou used against Saeki, and that it might be the only way to make the former back away. Nekota however, explains that sakki can not be learned overnight and requires training in order to perfect.
Later that night while Nekota and Kamogawa remember their fighting days in the ring, the rest of the group play cards and recall how strict and difficult a fighters life was during world war 2. When Takamura rings the bell on the table, Kamogawa and Nekota react to the sound and begin fighting. This causes Ippo to reflect on his own rivalry with Sendou, and how he feels the fight is not yet over.
