The Clenched Fist (握り拳, Nigirikobushi) is an unorthodox boxing style technique performed by Takeshi Sendō against clinching opponents.

Usage[]

When the opponent clinches with Sendō, he clenches his fist until his knuckles can be felt through the glove, then twists his knuckles while pushing them into the opponent's liver. This causes such immense pain that the opponent immediately backs away.

Unlike Ippo and Takamura's close-range Liver Blows, which require rotation from their legs and back to be performed, Sendō's Clenched Fist requires no rotation of his body whatsoever; he simply presses his fist to the desired spot and grinds it. This means that even in the tightest clinch he is capable of inflicting damage to his opponent, making it a useful weapon.
