Summary
After making it to the semi finals of the tournament, Ippo studies Hayami's recent match with his coach. Thinking that as an in fighter he would have the advantage, Ippo is proven wrong as Hayami knocks out his opponent after toying with him for three rounds.
Realizing that an in fighting will not be enough, they begin training with a combination of extensive road work and dodging exercises in order to exhaust Hayami by making him miss the shots of his "shotgun".
Later in the night, Ippo along with Kimura and Takamura are eating and Chuuka Soba where Aoki cooks for them. They begin talking about Hayami and Aoki's impending match, leading to the conclusion that anyone who fights before Aoki, should not be feared.
