SummaryEdit

In his room, Ippo wakes up after having dreams about his title match, and makes sure it really happened by taking and wearing the belt. Umezawa walks in and congratulates him on becoming the champion, and informs him that he has been sleeping for two days straight. He shows him the papers about the match, with reporters acclaiming the bout, in order to help the feeling settle in. Ippo later encounters his mother outside, and she congratulates him on becoming the champion as well.

Invited to a celebration party by Aoki, Ippo is late when he arrives at Sugar Ray, but notices that the party was going on without him either way. Once inside, Ippo sees the entire Kamogawa crew along with Nekota and Kumi. Since it is Ippo's birthday, Nekota gives him a puppy that Hachi just had as a present.

With the part over, Takamura suggests they continue elsewhere, but before leaving, Kamogawa calls Ippo over. He informs him of Sendou's condition, and asks if he found the answer to the question he asked after the fifth round. Ippo replies that he found nothing, so he will be needing more assistance on his way to an answer. As Ippo leaves, Kamogawa tells Yagi that what Ippo is looking for is not a goal or an object, and that he may be on a road more difficult than claiming any title.
