Volg's Mother is a non-recurring character in Hajime no Ippo.
She is the deceased mother of Alexander Volg Zangief. She is what drives her son Volg to fight in the ring.

She raised and grew Volg by herself, taking care of him until she ruined her own health. Volg became a boxer to help his mother stay alive with the help of Ramuda Ruslan. After his loss against Makunouchi Ippo and Sendō Takeshi he goes back to Russia. By the time Volg returned to Japan, she had passed away.

Personality[]
She was a caring mother to Volg and thought of her son as a kind boy. When Volg began boxing, she thought that Volg would not be the kind to hurt others.
