Hiroyuki Ōta (太田 博之, Ōta Hiroyuki) is a featherweight boxer that was supposed to participate in the East Japan Rookie King Tournament, but had to withdraw after sparring with Jason Ozuma.

Rookie King Tournament: First Rounder Arc[]

While Jason Ozuma was training at Nerima Boxing Group, Ōta, who was in the same tournament, sparred with Ozuma. Ōta refused to put on headgear as he rushed towards Ozuma. After angering Ozuma, Ōta was knocked out after one hook. After the spar, Ōta was rushed to the hospital and was forced to withdraw from the tournament.
Appearance[]
Ōta has short dark brown hair and forehead wrinkles. He also has visible cheekbones. His attire while sparring against Ozuma was a basic white t-shirt.
Personality[]
Ōta is a overconfident and reckless individual. He underestimates people at times, such as when sparring against Ozuma, he believed he did not need headgear, a mistake that made him go to the hospital.

Ōta is the Nerima Boxing Group's hope, implying that he has good boxing skills.
Etymology[]
- The name Hiroyuki means "command, esteem" (博) (hiro) and "this" (之) (yuki).
- Hiroyuki's surname Ōta means "thick, big, great" (太) (ō) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta).
