The Dragonfish Blow (ドラゴンフィッシュ・ブロー, Doragonfisshu Burō) is a combination of a short left body blow to a right above the opponent's line of sight, specifically hitting the jaw.

Usage[]

The opponent becomes distracted by the user's left body blow, while the user uses his right hand to hit above the opponent's line of sight, hitting his unguarded jaw.

However, since it requires charging in and focusing on the opponent body, it exposes the user to large amounts of punishment, and must be used carefully. If the opponent knows the user is going to use the technique, they can guard their body to prevent the technique from starting. The opponent can also make it so that the right overhand hits their forehead, damaging the user's fist.[1]

When used repeatedly as a barrage, it is noted to look similar to the Dempsey Roll, which when used constantly like the Dempsey Roll, drains the user's energy.[2] The user can feint the technique by throwing a right overhand first, then a left body blow, also called a "Fish Dragon".[3]

The move was invented by Kimura Tatsuya while watching his pet fish, Reiko, jump up and eat its meal in front of him.
