Summary
The first round comes to an end, with both fighters equally damaged. Ippo realizes why they remind him of Date, and tells Miyata, that those are the eyes of fighters refusing to lose no matter what.
Despite saying that he won the exchange, Sendou is hurt from receiving Volg's blows, but refuses to back down. On the other corner, Volg knows that he is no match for Sendou in power so he decides to return three hits for every punch he receives.
The second round begins with Volg rushing to Sendou's position, where they begin trading shots. Sendou has the advantage in power but is unable to land a clean hit, because Volg's accuracy is overwhelming him. They both end up in the corner, with Sendou's back against the ropes and Volg dominating the exchange. Taking advantage of the close range, Sendou lands several body blows but Volg states that he will keep going until he is unconscious. The bell rings and unlike the first round, the second seems like a certain victory for Volg.
The third round goes the same way, as Sendou is being hit like a punching bag, unable to throw a hit back at his opponent who is technically outclassing him.
By the time the sixth round starts, Sendou is without a doubt losing the fight, and after receiving a powerful combination, he goes down. As he struggles to get back up, he notices Volg's feet shaking and realizes that his opponent is also hurt.
