Summary
Ippo stands up, stunning the audience and Ozuma.As the the hall is divided by cheers, the referee resumes the fight, but Ippo's vision is still groggy. Ozuma rushes in and delivers a hook, but Ippo ducks and hits him with a body blow, knocking Ozuma down. Ozuma, with encouragement from his coach and much struggle, gets up at the count of nine. The match resumes and both boxers are exhausted. Ozuma uses his shoulder against Ippo, putting the latter against the ropes. After Ippo loses at a simultaneous exchange, the coach realizes that he is finally at his limits and tells him to just throw everything he has left at Ozuma. However, Ozuma is determined to win for Mama-san and pummels Ippo against the ropes, and goes for the finishing blow.
