The Corkscrew Blow is a right straight thrown with the rotation of the arm, giving it more power and the ability to penetrate an opponent's guard. In Hajime no Ippo the technique is employed by Date Eiji, who uses a variant called the Heart Break Shot. Okita Keigo also uses the corkscrew blow to reference Date as the one he idolizes.
Strengths & WeaknessesEdit
The Corkscrew is chambered inwardly to the body, making it easy to foresee yet hard to guard against. Thanks to the motion, the strike is strengthened through the entire body, making it very powerful.
