The Chopping Right is powerful punch used by taller boxers. It is essentially a right straight with a downward angle that adds weight to the power.
The Chopping Right is Mashiba's Sunday Punch. His typical KO pattern is to make his opponent flinch using Flicker Jabs, then move in and finish them with a chopping right. Due to Mashiba's height, the Chopping Right has only been countered once in the series.
Strengths and WeaknessesEdit
The Chopping Right is a very destructive punch and feared by many boxers, especially in-fighters. Mashiba Ryou uses the Chopping Right as a close-range defense when his Flicker Jab is neutralised. The Chopping Right also capitalises on the strengths of tall boxers like Mashiba, who can put more of their weight into the downward blow.
Missing the Chopping Right, however, leaves the user's body exposed. Kamogawa Genji takes several hits from Ralph Anderson before he exploits this weakness, breaking Anderson's ribs and damaging his organs using Tekken.
